This is a 24-module course most suitable for children from age 7 to adults who wish to learn a new technique in drawing and painting using computer tablets and software. Children have boundless creativity that needs to be given an avenue to be fully realized. Part 1 : FOUNDATION

The Foundation lessons let the students get familiar with the use of the Wacom tablet and the software programs that will be used throughout the course. It is assumed the students have had no prior exposure to digital art. The emphasis is very much on familiarization with the tools at hand.

Part 2 : DRAWING LEVEL 1 – BASICS

The lessons in Drawing Basics will introduce the students to ground-level concepts and ideas in drawing, such as the construction of complex shapes from basic ones. This allows the student to gain a strong foundation for future improvement while building up their proficiency with digital tools. The emphasis is on building basic drawing skills and confidence with the tools.

Part 3 : PAINTING LEVEL 1 BASICS

The lessons in Painting Basics will gently introduce the student to starting concepts such as shadow, light and value as well as basic color theory. These lessons build on and make use of the drawing skills taught in Part 2 (Drawing Level 1). The emphasis is on basic digital painting concepts and techniques and further familiarization with the tools provided.
